Individual Research Plan (IPB)
In accordance with the Law on Higher Education and Science, doctoral students, in consultation with their supervisor(s), shall prepare and submit an IPB within 12 months of the start of their studies. For most of you, this means that you must submit your IPB by October 1, 2025, at the latest.
If an assistant supervisor is appointed, the IPB is submitted after review by that supervisor. The implementation of the plan is subject to a mid-term evaluation halfway through the education period.
Approved by the Director of the IPB, it may be changed after a mid-term evaluation, under the conditions specified in § 29 of the SDNS Regulations or at the request of the doctoral student after the suspension period has expired. In particularly justified cases, the IPB may be changed at the request of the doctoral student before the mid-term evaluation begins.
The completed document, bearing the signatures of the doctoral student and supervisor, must be submitted in person to the Secretariat of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at 56/66 Dobra Street (room 0.108) by October 1, 2025.
