prof. dr hab. Mirosława Czerny
Prof. Miroslawa Czerny is a geographer, full professor at the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, Chair of Urban Geography and Spatial Planning. She is also a specialist in Latin American studies. Her areas of interest include the issues of urban geography, regional development, poverty and underdevelopment, globalization and its role in regional processes not only from a general perspective, but especially in Latin America. Since 1976 she has conducted research and lectured at Latin American universities – most recently, primarily in Colombia, Peru, and Mexico. The topics of poverty, marginal districts, the spatial structure of cities, and disparities in regional development appear in most of Prof. Czerny’s scientific works.

dr hab. Małgorzata Gambin, prof. ucz.
Dr. hab. Małgorzata Gambin, prof. ucz. is a university professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology of the Child and Family at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw. As the Vice-Chair of the Discipline Council for Psychology and a member of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences Council, she actively contributes to shaping academic standards and educating early-career researchers. Her research focuses on developmental psychopathology, particularly the role of family relationships, mentalization, emotion regulation, and resilience mechanisms in the face of social crises. She has been affiliated with the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Warsaw throughout her academic career, where she obtained her master’s degree, PhD, and habilitation in social sciences. She expanded her international experience during a one-year postdoctoral research fellowship at the Developmental Psychopathology Lab at the University of Houston in the United States. She is the author of numerous publications in prestigious scientific journals and has led research grants. She is also a graduate of a four-year Family Therapy Training Program and has completed specialized training in child and adolescent therapy. She collaborates with the Empowering Children Foundation and co-creates the Social and Clinical Psychology Laboratory (SoCLab) at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw.
